On Saturday, September 21, 2019 alumni and friends are invited to join coach Kevin Barnaby and the Falcon Baseball Team at Townsend Ridge Country Club at 12 PM for 18 holes of golf (1 PM shot gun start). The tournament will be followed by dinner, which is included in the registration. All proceeds from players and sponsors will benefit the Falcons baseball program. The 10th annual Alumnae Field Hockey Game will be held on Saturday, September 21 starting at Elliot Field with the Falcons vs. Plymouth State home game at 10 AM. Alumni are welcome to join students and parents for the post-game tailgate behind Elliot Field before heading to the Landry Arena for the alumnae vs. alumnae game at 1 PM. Check-in and warm-up begin at 12:30 PM at Landry. Afterwards, join Coach Cosenza for complimentary appetizers at Slattery's. It doesn't matter whether or not you play, please come and cheer us on. Families are welcome.

On Sunday, September 22, 2019, the Falcons Baseball team will hold their Alumni Baseball Game at Riccards Field on the Fitchburg State campus at 10 AM. Registration and warm-up begins at 9:30 AM. This is a free event for spectators and players alike, and they are especially looking for pitchers and catchers to sign-up. After the game we will meet at Slattery's for drinks and appetizers.

Join Coach Dean Fuller on Saturday, October 5 for a Falcons Hockey Blue Line golf tournament at Townsend Ridge Country Club, 40 Scales Lane, Townsend, MA. Registration at the club house begins at 9:00 a.m. and tee-off is at 10:00 a.m. Non-alumni, friends and parents are welcome too. All lacrosse alumnae are invited back to campus to play against the current Falcons team in a friendly alumnae game. Registration and warm-up begins at 1:30 PM and the game will start at 2 PM.
The day also includes appetizers at Slattery’s following the game with Head Coach Rick Terrio. It doesn't matter whether or not you play, please come and cheer us on. Families are welcome.

In this anniversary year for the institution, another milestone is being observed: the 50th anniversary of the founding of Fitchburg State's Xi Upsilon chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society. This reception will include Dr. Clayton J. Drees, President of Phi Alpha Theta, as well as alumni and current history students from the chapter. This observance highlights the University's enduring commitment to academic excellence by the faculty and students of the Fitchburg State History Program.

Coach Merry MacDonald invites alumnae back to campus to play against the current Falcons team at the 7th Annual Alumnae Softball Game on Saturday, October 19 at the Donna Lee-Withington Memorial Field, Coolidge Park, Fitchburg. Registration and warm-up begins at 12:30 PM. The game starts at 1 PM. The day also includes complimentary appetizers at Slattery's following the game. Come prepared with your bat and glove or join us on the sidelines and cheer us on. Families are welcome.

Alumni from the Class of 1969 can look forward to an evening of reuniting with former classmates and taking a walk down memory lane. Join us for a special hors d'oeuvres reception in the library archives with cash bar (beer & wine only). Enjoy private tours of the Class of 1969 collection and other 125th Anniversary exhibits featured Homecoming Weekend. Bring photos and memorabilia, reminisce, reconnect, and pose for the class photo with your classmates.

Fitchburg State University Alumni from the class of 1969 and earlier are invited back to campus for their induction into the Gold Key Society. This annual ceremony is held to recognize the collective achievements of all those in the society and to induct the 50th reunion class. Alumni from earlier class years who have not yet received their Gold Key are welcome to receive it at this year's event.

Explore campus during a one-hour walking tour led by a student guide from the Office of Admissions and Library Archivist, Asher Jackson, adding fun historic facts along the way. The weather in New England can be fickle, so check out the local weather report, dress appropriately, and be prepared--the tour will go on, rain or shine! We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes, as the campus tour will be conducted entirely on foot. Open to the public. Advanced registration appreciated.

Get ready for game day with delicious tailgate fare, beverages by Wachusett Brewery, corn hole games, giveaways, and fun pictures in the photo booth. Reconnect with fellow alumni and have your cameras ready for when Freddy stops by! This event is a perfect place to meet with your crew or create an impromptu reunion. We're already reserving space for our former local clubs; other groups are encouraged to do the same. Cost includes buffet, soft drinks, and two adult drink tickets for those 21+.
