Fitchburg State Homecoming Buttons

Homecoming & Alumni Weekend

Homecoming is our once-a-year celebration that brings our entire Falcon community together for an amazing fall weekend on our beautiful campus.

With dozens of exciting activities and events — from the Homecoming football game to milestone reunion gatherings, interesting meet and greets to exclusive campus tours — Homecoming highlights what is means to be a #ForeverFalcon.

Homecoming offers alumni the opportunity to reminisce and reconnect, to explore Fitchburg State's newest places and programs, and to get to know today's campus community.

The university's Homecoming and Reunion weekend festivities Oct. 21-23 were a hit with students, families and alumni.

On Friday night, the carnival and bonfire kicked off the weekend with food, fun, fire and rides. We also heard from our fall sports teams to get us pumped up for the Homecoming games.

Saturday morning kicked off with the Class of 1972 being inducted into the Gold Key Society. This group celebrates alumni who are 50+ years out from their graduation year.

The football game was fun for all with a halftime show which featured our Dance Team and Cheerleaders, as well as football toss where students had the chance to win a $500 scholarship. We also celebrated the senior members of our football and cheer teams.

The Class of 1972 further celebrated their milestone reunion with a reception in our University Archives where they were able to view memorabilia from their time at Fitchburg State.

Saturday night, students, faculty, staff and alumni danced the night away at the Dress Your Decade Homecoming Dance and Casino Night. Alumna Judy Tuttle, class of 1966 came with her dancing shoes on and everyone learned how to count to 21 playing Blackjack. Fun was had by all and one of our students won a 40lb bag of Lucky Charms marshmallows.
